Computers for Schools

TCTW has been working with local organisations to help support young people in digital poverty access computers so they can work online from home during lockdown.

With thanks to the quick thinking of our partners at Saltisford Church we have been able to loan out the TCTW small grant funded PC's for their Job Club to local young people who have no access to a computer at home.

We thought it was just such a waste the PC's were just going to sit there and gather dust while Job Club is closed during lock-down. We know how much of a strain it is for families who have a computer and kids have to share to learn, never mind those without one at all trying to learn on their phones!

The wonderful Warwick Lions generously also answered our call for help by purchasing Westgate Primary School chrome books to loan struggling students!

So far we have provided 8 families with a computer to support their online learning!

I was so scared I was going to fall behind and really worry about things like that. You just don't know how much having this computer means to me and that I wont be stressing all lock-down because I cant do my work!
